Twe Blonde Dubbel

John from the Good Beer Store hooked me up with this treasure from Ska Brewing. I had a bottle gone bad of some other blonde ale and he replaced it with this fine beer. A little sweet to drink a bunch of, but in pint doses, this beer does the trick. BWZ UPDATE: The Good Beer Store has Closed. John moved to Canada. The dream is over I guess. Details to follow... Another BWZ Update: We don't know what happened in the end with the Good Beer Store. It is gone now, so lets all just deal with it and move on. Updated 12/04/07

Cabbage Sidebar 09/16/07

Sometimes I drop my thang down, flip it and reverse it. Other times, I stand by and watch as others humiliate themselves instead of me. Usually, it is the latter, but during a good week, my well-documented cabbage to patch ratio increases exponentially with the passing of time, and with the witnessing of the unbridled patching of others. The result is obvious: The cabbage patch has once again proved itself real, and quite important to us all.

Early in the day, depending on when my fifth chakra becomes illuminated, I usually end up engaging is shafty activities. My chi is always epic. If you don’t know what I mean, then please continue reading. Like an attorney in a bad “made for TV” movie, the judge will allow me to continue because I have assured this said judge that I am going somewhere with this. You may believe that I am, but why any judge would have faith in me to actually do this is unprecedented, of course.

The cabbage of my mind is not unlike the cabbage of my heart. They are intertwined like the century old grape vines of Far Niente, or some other aged vines at an unknown vineyard at an undisclosed location. It is in this arena where we as shafters make our stand. At last, we can easily demonstrate our ability to rise above the mundane daily routines of the average Joe, and throw our war-torn jerseys into the flaming trash barrel also known as mediocrity. Did I spell that right?

It is my stern belief now, after years of introspection and deep meditation on these topics, that I have but a minor role in this place commonly known now as the Thunderdome of Epicentricity. I am baffled by the fact that many individuals I come across in this world are absolutely oblivious to our power and limitless potential as peeps up in this hiznitch.

I know many whom literally and figuratively cabbage patch on a regular basis. These few enlightened individuals have not only made cabbaging a part of their daily regimen, but a true element of their consciousness on a larger scale. I want to take this moment to commend these shafty individuals and wish them well in all that they do in this world. You are my heroes. Shaft on my cabbaging comrades.
